Mo Christmas everybody. The 4 week transfer is over haha. Super fast. And I'm getting transferred to the Kahuku 3rd Tongan Ward, so I'm pumped about that! I'll miss the Samoan Ward and all of the surfer bros in Sunset Beach, haha. Good times.
Some really cool and funny things happened in the past 3 weeks. We went over to this guy who has been taught for like 3 years.
He lives right on the beach and has an awesome view and the sunset looks mui fantastico! At first, only his friend (who is a member) was there and he had us come sit down with him. He talked with us about how his testimony just keeps getting stronger with all of the blasphemy going on in the world.
We started talking about the Word of Wisdom and having strength to obey it and out of nowhere his friend comes around the corner and throws his hands in the air and happily says "My girlfriend got arrested!" His girlfriend had been the reason why he hasn't been able to get baptized in the past and she caused him a lot of stress, and he coped with that stress by smoking weed. So me and my comp realized that if his girlfriend is gone and she was holding him back from baptism then he's in a place to accept a baptismal invitation. He also told us how he's ready for change in his life. So we invited him to be baptized on Christmas Eve and he accepted! We stopped by on Saturday to invite him to Church and he told us his girlfriend was back... but it's OK because they both came to church and now we're kind of teaching his girlfriend as well. They're an absolute wreck together but they like coming to church and are both seeking change in their life, haha. We'll see what happens but it was wild and awesome! I love Jesus!
