Elder Gong! (Week 65)

This last week was sweet!

Elder Gong an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ came to our mission and everybody flew to Honolulu from the other islands to attend it!

All except for the Elders on the island of Molokai. We were supposed to pick the Molokai Elders up from the airport but they texted us and told us we were off the hook for picking them up because one of my previous companions, Elder Fifita, lost his driver's license his first day in Hawaii and he's had problems with his replacement ID. It was sad that they weren't able to make it but it was amazing to hear an apostle speak to us!

What stood out most was he said at the end of his remarks "There's a rich harvest coming." The Holy Ghost hit me. Truly a rich harvest is coming, and it's happening everywhere.

Hurrah for Israel!

The Past Month...(Week 63)

Well the past month flew by and it's been a while but things have been good. I'll start with 2 weeks ago when our Marine, Ethan, got baptized and confirmed!

It was so amazing to see him make his first covenant with God! He really changed so much and was so happy. It's amazing to see the Atonement of Jesus Christ change someone's life. The next week we met with him and he was different, he had a new light to him, and that has come because he has received the gift of the Holy Ghost and received a remission of sins! Truly beautiful.

General Conference was amazing as always. I love how they teach us so much about our covenant relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. President Nelson's words were amazing and here are 2 principles he taught- 1) We have increased access to the power of Jesus Christ as we keep covenants. 2) We can overcome the world by and through our covenants with God and Jesus Christ.

Follow God, Follow His prophet, keep your covenants!
