8 Months (Week 35)

Crazy week, hahaha. We saw some cool miracles. Elder Barnes had some quick revelation and invited one of our most Progressing friends to a Baptismal service, and our friend, Raynee, was making comments like "This is so authentic.", and "This seems so legit." It was awesome!

Sometime people yell at us and it's fun and instead of getting mad I just feel compassion and feel bad for them. Try it out it works!

Hawaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiuujjjjj (Week 34)

Oh hi there. This week was transfer week. Elder Barnes and I are staying in Waipahu together in the Honouliuli Ward, but plot twist, we added another companion so we're in a trio now. Our new companion is Elder Fifita, and on Friday we were playing Pros Volleyball and Elder Fifita and Elder Barnes jumped up to block/spike. They hit each other, and Elder Fifita rolled his ankle pretty good. That night it swelled pretty good and bruised immediately. The next day it was gnarly looking so we went to Honolulu and we had the mission doctor take a look at it.  He put him in a boot and I took the opportunity to talk to the mission doctor about compound fractures that he has seen in his life as a Physician and they were pretty good stories.

On Sunday we were visiting this aunty who had her 89 year old mother over and she asked my companion where he was from 3 times. It was so funny but she is a great example of enduring to the end. She served like 4 missions doing genealogy and temple work in Hong Kong, New York, and SLC, and probably somewhere else.

We had some very cool lessons where the Spirit was so strong. This time I've had to serve has truly been amazing, as I've had so much time to learn the doctrine of Christ and apply into my life, I have seen huge blessings and deeper conversion. The Doctrine of Christ truly is the only way back to our Father in Heaven.

Love you all. Life is hard but it is so sweet when we have a loving Heavenly Father, a living Savior in Jesus Christ, the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost, the gospel of Jesus Christ, a living Prophet, temples, and scriptures to guide us especially the Book of Mormon.

la Kwe (Week 33)

Whoops. Forgot to email last week hahahahahahahahahahah. We definitely saw some cool miracles over the past 2 weeks.

We've been teaching a spastic 14 year old named Jayden and his younger brother Eddie. At our last lesson, their mom decided to join in and she accepted the invitation to read the Book of Mormon! The Lord definitely softened her heart! After the lesson we were walking to our car and a lady was walking past us so we talked to her, as missionaries do, and she stopped us as we were talking to her and said she had a dream 3 or 4 nights ago about guys talking to her about God! So cool! She has been really diving deep into religion lately and trying to find the right one so it'll be cool to see where it goes with her!

Pride is the downfall of many and I listened to a talk by President Ezra Taft Benson titled "Beware of Pride" and it roasted me. Pride is the downfall of man. We must all be aware of pride.

What a blessing to have the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and Latter-day revelation and restored priesthood keys that allow us to make and keep covenants and have the Atonement of Jesus Christ delivered to us. All I can say is read the Book of Mormon, follow the Prophet and you'll stay on the covenant path. Keep those covenants! God be with til we meet again!
