Well I'm officially over a year and have less than a year to go. Time is funny but the mission is good, even when it really sucks, it's still REALLY good haha.
Been a bit since I emailed but good stuff has happened. I got transferred to the Kaneohe Zone to be in the Kaneohe 1st Ward with Elder Marchant who is an absolute stud! Kaneohe is also the most beautiful area I've seen yet in Hawaii. The mountains in the background are the best view!
We've had some really cool stuff happen this past week. Nathan, an 11 year old we've been teaching, got baptized along with his 8 year old sister Momi! Their family has become active again in living the gospel because of Nathan's decision to get baptized!
Something awesome too is that I have a ton of connections to Nathan's family who live on the Big Island, and his family came for the baptism so I got to see a lot of people from my first Zone!
And I live above a member who is the mother of a Bishop from my first Zone and he came to Oahu for a family reunion so I can to see him as well. The Bishop's family in the Ward that I'm currently serving in is friends with a family that I was teaching in my last area. So it's been really fun to make all of these connections!
Our covenant connection with our Heavenly Father and our Savior is the most important thing that we have. Something that has been very powerful on the mission is taking the Sacrament. We're so blessed to have the opportunity to have a fresh start each week as we partake of the Sacrament and let Christ's Atonement take effect in our lives! It's literally being made clean each week and is a critical part of us becoming more converted to the Lord.
Love you all. Hurrah for Israel!
